For two decades, Mark helped hundreds of software companies run their compliance programs. He built the insight that scale-ups that truly succeed treat compliance as a continuous operational process, not a documentation exercise. Together with Tim, whose background lay in bringing technology to market, he founded Compliancy in 2023.
Around the same time, Tobias, co-founder and CTO of a hypergrowing agentic management platform, came to Mark overwhelmed by SOC 2 while scaling his own company. After a couple of years as a client, he became convinced there was a platform-scale opportunity in what Mark and Tim had built operationally. Through Waybound, a software studio he co-founded, he partnered with Compliancy in 2026, excited to build what's next.
